Hi, my name is Ian and I live in Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil. I am a musician, and work as a music teacher and as a mandolinist. I play the guitar, mandolin, a little bit of cello and currently I'm trying to learn singing too. I love traveling and meeting new people. Getting to know how the different cultures are and getting a little closer to other ways to view the world amuses me!

As a musician, my taste is quite diverse, but I really enjoy Brazilian music, such as samba, bossa-nova, forró, MPB, choro, and outside the brazilian universe, I also like jazz, tango, rock, and I am always open to new experiences! I have a clear preference in classic movies and literature. I love reading Dostoievski, Mann, Kundera, Clarice Lispector, Machado de Assis, Whitman, Carlos Drummond de Andrade, and many others too.

I can share a little bit of my culture, like some of the popular manifestations, parties, and places with all kinds of brazilian music. I also can cook a litte and can show you some of the best "mineira" food.
