About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get out there and live life, worked corporate jobs the last 6 years and need to go into the wild. I am an outdoorsy guy who loves adrenaline rushes. My main goal is to meet unforgettable people in unforgettable places.

ABOUT ME

Move around and travelling for work has become second nature, I thrive on meeting new people and love to be actively seeking new adventures. I am always laughing, apparently I don't hear sarcasm enough. I've always been someone to take care of family and close friends.

I've recently quit my job after a 3-6 year entourage through USA, Germany and Mexico. Moved back to Canada to help family with the passing of my father. Feel like I have done what I can now and am ready to start life new in 2018. Promised myself a long time ago that I would just go see the world. I don't want to be held up in all-inclusives, I want to meet locals and explore and make friends so rather stay in hostels.

PHILOSOPHY

I feel every person you meet is capable of changing your philosophy on life. From a father, brother, friend or even a stranger. Can't find friends if you never put yourself out there. Don't feel it matters where you go, it's the people you meet, the stories and adventures shared. Think everyone is ready to see some beauty in the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My heart lies in the Dominican Republic and would really like to start there. I've been wanting to understand the language, culture and beauty of it since I have been 14 years old. Once I turned 21(Currently 28) I have already been back for a total of six times. This time around I want to connect with a good family, preferably bilingual as I suck. Hoping to earn my stay by helping out around the house or anyway I can. Just looking for tips and direction to see the beauty of the country while making new friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Absolutely none but I have plenty of experience and references outside the website were necessary. Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions about anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a 2 week road trip to Nova Scotia, but broke down in Ottawa where I belong . We ate so well and explored underwater caves in the Grotto at Tobermory. Have spent a week in Dominican by myself exploring the Capitol and enjoying the night life. Was so fun I actually did it twice instead of going somewhere new.

Teach, Learn, Share

Feel I have always been a teacher for my age, I stepped outside the box lol. Love to train people in a work environment but find myself always listening to people. This goes into how I learn about life, I tend to really comprehend people and understand where they are coming from. Sharing is important as I always have feedback for people who open themselves to me, we all have stories. Opening up to people can be scary but creates bonds that may never be broken.
