Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first couchsurfing experience was in Launceston, Tasmania, and that was awesome! I felt at home immediately. Interesting conversations, good company!
Since then I surfed some more in other places in Australia. In Berlin I also had an amazing couchsurfing experience. We had a really good click and just hit it off :)
Interests
Meeting new people, getting to know them and their lives and visions. Beautiful landscapes, animals, nature. Reading books. Playing squash, the piano and guitar. Photography. Going out to rock and metal concerts, goa festivals, and I also absolutely love dancing!

Music, Movies, and Books
Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd but also contemporary metal. From brutal death metal such as Bloodbath to progressive such as Porcupine Tree, Opeth and Dream Theater, to metalcore such as The Haunted. Oh, and Cynic.
Apart from that I love goa (Shpongle, Ott), and going to goa festivals has given me some of my most beloved memories.
As for movies and books, I like movies and books that get you thinking, that teach you something new or give you an insight into another culture.
Also, I'm really fond of British stuff, such as Little Britain, Monty Python, Fawlty Towers and Shameless.
Books.. I really like a lot of Dutch writers, sorry you guys probably don't know them ;) Some writers that you might know I also like who aren't Dutch: Khaled Hosseini, Haruki Murakami, Janet Fitch, and Italian writers like Paolo Giordano and Niccolo Ammaniti.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travel Australia for one year. Living by the day, completely enjoying the moment, meeting the most awesome people, sleeping in a tent for about half the time, camping, seeing wildlife, hiking, beach parties, living in a permaculture community, taking care of orphaned and injured wildlife... need I say more?
Teach, Learn, Share
I like meeting authentic people. I like easygoing people that can laugh about things in life (and themselves), and that are passionate about something. This is where two people can inspire each other and have a real connection <3
