CURRENT MISSION

To meet travels of the world. I have lived what I consider to be a bit of a sheltered life. Now that I am close to 40(and going thru a mid-life crisis) I would LOVE to learn about how others get the most out of their travels.

ABOUT ME

I used to be a very patient, kind, caring and loving person. She seems to have gotten lost somewhere along the way. I hope to find her again when I begin my travels.
I love animals and the outdoors. I am particularly drawn to water of any kind, Ocean, Lake, even a simple stream seems to cheer me up.

PHILOSOPHY

This is a tuff one as I am going thru a ruff time right now. Don't really know who I am or why I'm here. Again, just another reason why I am going on a traveling mission. My feelings are sometimes sad and my thoughts are often negative. But don't let that worry you! I can still host like the best of 'em!!! When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope to give others the oportunity to visit an area they may not otherwise get to see. Living here all of my life, I certainly take it for granted. But this is a beautiful area rich w/ outdoor activity.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I loved traveling anywhere with my German friend Scarlett. We stayed on many a couch both close to home and abroad. She always had friends of many diverse ethnicities. It was great hearing a conversation going on in several diff. languages at a time! My first plane ride was to Germany w/ her and I flew home all by myself and met 2 great people on the way back.

Interests

Animals are probably the most interesting thing to me. I love to learn new things watching the Animal Planet, but it is time to get out there and see them all for myself!
Kids are great. I love their simplicity and how they take everything so literally. They are always good for a laugh.
Right now sewing is a special interest as my Aunt and I make one of a kind purses and totes.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a fan of most any type of movie, Drama, Comedy, Mystery/Suspense, Classics, Horror, even the animated flicks! Along the same lines I also enjoy most music styles but am especially fond of 80's rock. Not much time for books these days but I used to read Anne Rice, an occational mystery, short stories and anything relating to animals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This doesn't involve travel, but the most amazing thing I have ever seen was the birth of my friends son.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not sure what or how much I could teach someone. But I know my way around this area quite well and would be very excited and happy to show others the beautiful Finger Lakes Region!
