ABOUT ME

Not surprisingly, I like to travel :). I love languages, it is fascinating the things I pick up when I'm abroad.

I don't really believe in self-definition, it's restrictive - but I guess there's a point here :).

I do think I have a calm personality and a good sense of humour and that you better find a laugh wherever you can. I find tolerance essential and that you should only take things seriously that really are important.
I try to treat people as I would like to be treated.

I like to do yoga, read and I am fairly spiritual.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live.
I used to think a lot about personal development from a spriritual perspective but now I feel what I learnt is mostly ingrained and theories served their purpose - I just live what I internalized :).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new here and will be away travelling for the next couple of weeks but when I'm home my couch is a very welcoming place (and a lovely blue colour if I say so to myself :)).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used to host people though not through this site, just people I met through my travels. It was fun and finally I got to use my guide education :)) - it was great showing people around. One of the things that got me interested in North America was how my guests compared their homeland to my country.

Interests

I like writing stories and drawing when I get inspired. I've always been an avid reader but nowadays I'm more interested in real adventures :).
I also dabble in homemade cosmetics.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really watch movies, nor do I have CDs, etc. - as for books I read everything from romance novels to biographies and lots in between.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ice formations anywhere, anytime - I can stare at them for hours.

I always wanted to fly since I was a child - except I have vertigo... One day I had the chance to try flying in a device that's similar to bungee-jumping but it actually rides currents for a short time. When I was up there before the jump I literally froze on the spot.
But when I finally did jump the flight was amazing, indescribable.
(of course I only did it because I heard someone saying "She's not gonna do it". Sometimes pride can get you through the toughest spot... And because climbing up was scary enough, I couldn't face the climb down :).
I'm never gonna do that again, though :).

Teach, Learn, Share

That's easy. I want to learn everything people have to offer. I've brought away a whole lot of things from everyone I ever met - even those I did not really like :).
