Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I once was airbnb hosted in Holland by the sweetest and most interesting host I ever had outside my friend circle and she was a couch surfer. I would love to meet more free spirited and inspiring people like her.

Not looking for trouble ;)

Interests

Travelling. My parents loved traveling and we never settled anywhere, I grew up in Marbella, Copenhagen, Natal and Ilhabela - an island in Brazil . My trusted friends on these travels, were books about ancient cultures, islands, art and mysticism. When I was a newly turned teen my dad decided that we should live without electricity. We were the only ones who lived like that in the island. Candle lights flames danced under the stars and enlightened the pages of my dear books. Our homes were always filled with interesting guests, my parents friends were amazing people, they are pretty amazing too. We used to play chess, music and paint together, in a drug and drink free bohemian home. I used to listen with fascination to their life stories in many different languages and accents. My friends were daughters and sons of my parents friends, they were family to me, I love them still but I had to go on. My family would always travel somewhere else and I learned to feel at home anywhere I was. A piece of me was always left behind, with the friends of mine but a piece of them, contributed to who I am. I'm glad to see that many are still with me, even after so much traveling and time. I'm glad we've met at some point and that we evolved into being who we are and still have some kind of positive memory that still connects us to each other.
