About Me

CURRENT MISSION
I'm on another 3700 mile commute to play in a Reggae band and record with them as a permanent drummer. I also own a small talent agency and rehearsal studio on the north side of Houston. Texas is where I work. Hawaii is my permanent home for now. Houston is for artistic endeavors and business because Hawaii is too slow. I work to pay for the Hawaiian style life.

ABOUT ME

I'm a 43 year old drummer.
I purchased a 3 acre lot in Mountain View Hawaii (1200 feet a.s.l.) about 25 minutes drive from Hilo. I have lived in a tent for about 14 months and have since grown the state to 6 acres. I work on Island, off Island and on the mainland. I usually split in the summer months and work or tour and return for the hotel season in the winter. I'm trying to homestead and build a structure.

PHILOSOPHY

Pursue your dreams with a vigilance and you will undoubtedly live a version thereof.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have tent space available on this six acre corner lot for gypsies , bohemians, and the adventure types.
So a couch I don't have, lots of space in brand new jungle I have. The lot is 300 feet by 890 feet and two thirds covered in dense new growth trees ohia and is a roller coaster of hardened molten lava. The forest floor is about 4 inches thick then covered in lava rock, but that doesn;'t matter . There is plenty of flat space suitable for temporary living, hidden and protected from the road.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It has been about 10 years since I couch surfed via this network.

Interests

Music and Art entertainment, money , real-estate, nature, I love ocean sports and activities, sushi, cooking, and now the building trade. I work in the Audio Visual field and own a band rehearsal studio in The Woodlands.

Music, Movies, and Books

All kinds of music I'm a sponge for music and the arts. I read mostly non fiction, and I like movies with humor, justice and true love.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My band toured with Ian Moss of Cold Chisel for some New South Wales dates. Very cool but I think the most amazing thing I've done is teach and mentor.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach music . I play in a band. I have a 1300 sqr foot studio that has a couch but no shower facility and is reserved exclusively for bands.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I usually just need cover and maybe a shower so I can work in Kona or Houston. I can bring grocery. And stay scarce
