My Mission is to travel the world, making money by betting people in a game of Ping Pong.

ABOUT ME

I love animals with a passion! Is it wrong to say I care more for animals then I do humans? Bah! Anyhow, In my ripe old age, I needed change. Like everyone, I suffered from low self esteem, due to working all day and not feeling like I was accomplishing anything in life. I decided to quit a comfortable job, sell my possessions, and just travel to work on myself. I'm exploring as many places as possible and in the process trying to improve myself from the inside. I feel I can get along with anyone, thats just how us Southerners are.

Fast forward a few years, I’ now have a great job working from home and still have a desire to travel and see as many places as possible. Looking forward to meeting new people all the while working odd hours.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy can be summed up by a poem from Nadine Stair:

If I had my life to live over

I'd dare to make more mistakes next time.
I'd relax, I would limber up.
I would be sillier than I have been this trip.
I would take fewer things seriously.
I would take more chances.

I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers.
I would eat more ice cream and less beans.
I would perhaps have more actual troubles,
but I'd have fewer imaginary ones.

You see, I'm one of those people who live
sensibly and sanely hour after hour,
day after day.

Oh, I've had my moments,
And if I had it to do over again,
I'd have more of them.
In fact, I'd try to have nothing else.
Just moments, one after another,
instead of living so many years ahead of each day.

I've been one of those people who never goes anywhere
without a thermometer, a hot water bottle, a raincoat
and a parachute.
If I had to do it again, I would travel lighter than I have.

If I had my life to live over,
I would start barefoot earlier in the spring
and stay that way later in the fall.
I would go to more dances.
I would ride more merry-go-rounds.
I would pick more daisies.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've had wonderful hosts and really enjoying my time traveling Europe. I could of never imagined it would be anything like this. Time to die happy. Lived in Norway and Sweden, now loving back in the USA in Oklahoma.

Interests

I absolutely love to write. Its a dream of mine to be able to support myself with short stories. I have quite the imagination and feel I have an interesting writing style. Writing in a comedic tone is my number one passion.

I also care very much for animals. If I have a dog at my side, you'll always see a smile on my face.

I also love to hike, golf, lift weights from time to time, and explore.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite books are by Cormac McCarthy. Im a huge movie buff as well. My favorite movies include: Saving Private Ryan, Let Me In, and 500 days of Summer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

the number one amazing thing I did in my lifetime is lived in my car for a year, just too save money and camp out in the woods when need be. So much fun living on the cheap and easy.

I also have a lot of improvement I need to do on myself. Im hoping I can accomplish that with this journey. I'm sure I've scared everyone away by now :)
