We are photographers. We're both vegan and are a queer friendly home. We have an 8 year old daughter. She’s very relaxed and a lot of fun, and loves biking and art! We have 4 cats!

Ingram ; My photo career has brought me to many interesting places and people. My life has been shaped by these experiences and the photos I've taken along the way. I now teach photography at the college I studied at. I'm slowly learning French. I feel that as a Canadian, being fluent in only English, I'm missing out on an important part of my culture. I have a lot of fun with Instagram, you can find me there @ingrambarss. I feel very fortunate to have Nova Scotia as my home. I love it here. My big adventure was living in Los Angeles for a few years, working as a photographer. And then Toronto for a few more. Now I'm back on the east coast.

Syd; My entire life I’ve been known as a baker and finally took the plunge on June 1 to start my own business! It’s called Syd Delicious. I specialize in fresh baked cinnamon buns.. baked on the spot at a local farmers’ market. Life has been so full with the business and family and it’s good. Taking this risk has been terrifying but also exciting! If you stay with us, chances are you’ll have some yummy treats. Ingram and Ivy are my heart. My life has taken me to interesting places, but this is exactly where I want to be.

We've hosted, and surfed. We've also met a few other CSers along the way. We feel fortunate to have become involved in CouchSurfing. We admire the CS community, and identify with so many aspects of it. We see CouchSurfing as so much more than a place to stay. It’s a cultural exchange. It’s an opportunity to connect with someone that you really....connect with. So..if you’ve read this far, you won’t be surprised to know that we only accept personal requests, with a similar view in mind.

Our surfers so far have been from Switzerland, Israel, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, Estonia, Austria, Lithuania, Canada and the US. We've surfed in Queens NYC, Mississauga, Kingston ON and Fredericton New Brunswick. Staying with locals has allowed us to get to know small, off the beaten path neighbourhoods. We have nothing but good things to say about our Couch Surfing experiences, and we're looking forward to more!
