About Me
* I am NOT using CS for dating/hook ups!! And I report people who do not respect this.
** For couch requests: I’m usually not able to say yes or no until only 1-2 weeks before the requested date so no point in asking one month in advance
Hi there! I recently finished my master's in neuroscience in London, though I was born and raised in Istanbul. I’m a huge “Lebensgenießer” as they call it in German, meaning that I try to make the most of everything in terms of enjoying life. Traveling and cultural exchange make up a huge part of what gives me pleasure, so I’m really excited about being a part of the Couchsurfing community and meeting new people as I travel.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I grew up with pen pals from all over the world and I’ve always had great interest in meeting new people and being in multi-culti environments. I’ve been traveling alone from an early age on and I’d love to continue getting to know lovely people around the world through Couchsurfing. Besides, I think that a very important part of traveling is experiencing life through the eyes of a local and not only as a tourist - so I guess it’s safe to say that Couchsurfing is a good match :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: almost any novel of Gabriel Garcia Marquez, The Fall (Albert Camus), When Nietsche Wept (Irvin D. Yalom), Jitterbug Perfume (Tom Robbins). I love literature but lately I‘ve only been reading books related to my field (biology & neuroscience) - which I absolutely love, but still, it’s kind of a shame
Movies: many!! I got really into cinema especially since Covid
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Befriended a desert mouse - she let me pet her
Teach, Learn, Share
Anything you would like to show & teach me is highly appreciated, I’d love to try out new things. I could offer to teach the languages I speak and would be happy to learn a new one myself. I would gladly share my scientific knowledge, especially within the field of biology and current research.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A whole lot of goofy stories, always a friendly attitude, nice chats. I also love sending and receiving postcards!
