Overview
About Me
I am taking life easy after a very full life and am enjoying my last task - to accompany, love and educate my 5 year old son Oscar, until he no longer needs me.
PHILOSOPHY
Share the good that is within you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I offer you the opportunity to discover this little corner of paradise. You have your end of the house to yourself, your fireplace, your kitchen. We take turns to cook. We talk and we go get firewood and we meet each other and share our different ideas of wisdom.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was a couch surfer before 'Couchsurfing' existed and loved every minute and was very grateful to my hosts.
Now that I don't travel anymore it's my turn to offer hospitality.
Interests
I live with goats and cats and Oscar, my 5 year old son, who comes stay half the week. His Mom now lives 3 kms away. The house is medieval with open fires and draughts eveywhere which means it's refreshing in Summer and a challenge in winter. It is one of 6 ruins on a little hill, nestled in a ring of mountains. I enjoy living in peace and harmony with the animals and the nature all around. I listen to World music, international politics, think about the fragility of democracy.

Music, Movies, and Books
I used to write songs and tour schools singing to inspire a feeling of personal responsibility for looking after the Earth.
Films: Baraka, Home, Human
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Accompanied and filmed one of Washington's finest choirs singing for peace in Israel and Palestine.
Teach, Learn, Share
We love to show how it is possible to pass through Alice's looking glass and live on this planet in paradise with ease and hardly any money. Our version involves returning to the country, finding your spot, rebuilding your ruin, and then sitting before an open fire with music and friends. Appreciating and respecting all of nature. And, when there aren't any storms, having an internet connection of course!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Warmth, respect and friendship. Mountains, streams and waterfalls. How to cut building costs down to nearly zero.
