About Me

Hi!
I am Isa Belle and I'm from the Netherlands.

I love travelling a lot but never had much of an oppurtunity to travel far, since I grew up on a farm. My family is more into an all-inclusive type of holiday, but i prefer to do things my own way :d. I really like taking long walks and exploring not so common parts of cities. I have great adoration for myths and legends and going to historic sites excites me greatly. Though I like exploring cities, I need to take a step back and get surrounded by nature to find peace and calm. I am an ambivert leaning more towards introvert.

I like doing anything creative, as drawing, painting, writing etc., but find too little time for it in my busy student life.

Nutrition and how the human body functions has interested me for a long time and it makes me wanting to eat healthy. I also lift heavy 5 times a week.

Everyday I try to be the best version of myself. I always try to be kind and compassionate and have no judgement, since we never can fully understand what a person is going through. I hope to share light en joy in your day and get a smile on your face :).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think the best way to get to know a country is by its people. I am new to this kind of traveling but excited to gain unique experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is pretty broad and I think every mood/moment has music to support it. You often find me with earbuds in jamming or singing or dancing to music as I can't really go without.
Artists I'm currently listening to: nothing but thieves, tash sultana, george ezra, james bay, ben howard, annenmaykantereit, artic monkeys, bob dylan, chef's special, foo fighters, johnny cash, kings of leon, labrinth, milky chance, paolo nutini, paul izak, philip larue, bon iver, sam smith, son mieux, sia,

Films: interstellar, how to train your dragon 1 and 2, i origin, call me by your name
The documentary gassland really was an eyeopener for me.

I sadly read too little and have only recently started reading more adult literature, so if you have recomendations, hit me up!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am a pretty emotional person and sometimes I experience events with tears rolling down my cheeks (happy tears).

Cycling through a forest in Sweden, it was the most beautiful pine forest I've been to and thinking about makes me want to visit it again or go to Oregon or Washington to experience the same beauty.

Riding on an ATM through some mountains in Turkey and discovering an acient site.

Visiting the Palamidi fort and being able to go further and further higher to the top, I don't know specifically why this felt so mesmerising but it certainly did.

Whenever I get to a different country, I always try to visit a cemetery. It is very interesting to see how different cultures leave their dead behind and have nothing but respect for it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook traditional Dutch food, teach you some yoga, draw for you, but mostly I hope to share thoughts and stories about our lifes :)
