ABOUT ME

Aloha! My name is Ivan and I love to travel. I currently live on a cruise ship and spend the majority of the year sailing. Every 6 or so months I get time off and I use that time to explore and pursue things I cant do on board like, biking, climbing, swimming (you'd be surprised haha) and generally anything that involves the outdoors. I love to read and cook. What I enjoy most in life is meeting new people from around the world. I'm very lucky that I get to do that everyday at my job and im even more lucky to get to do it here on CS! I cant wait to meet you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently, I'm crashing couches. When I live on land (see the about me section) Everyone is welcome to visit and if any of you want to plan a trip together I wouldnt mind wandering around with any surfers out there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started couch surfing, not on the CS Project but "unofficially," as soon as I got my drivers license. As my friends went of to different universities I spent my weekends traveling to meet them and their friends. After a year of traveling I have lived (briefly), or visited every major city in the state of Florida. I have also couch surfed throughout europe and have met some amazing people through out the way.

Interests

I suppose travel is a given.... I love music, photography, writing, reading (newspapers included), and any of the arts. I'm also interested and attempting to figure out the role of print media in the 21st century so if anyone has any ideas I'm listening! I also cycle, climb, run and do anything that keeps me active. I get very jittery just sitting around.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook amazing Mexican food--my father is Mexican and taught me how to cook. I can also teach photography, print making, photo editing (photoshop, aperture,) audio, video editing, and spanish.
