Overview
About Me
I'm a young man, who has recently discovered that i really want to see more of the world. I haven't travelled all that much in my life, but I mean to catch up to it! I love reading a good book. I love gaming too, but that hardly seems all that relevant in this context. I am usually quiet, and a bit shy, but if I get passionate (or drunk) about something, I have a tendency to get very loud, very suddenly. I have no problems using a whole day, basically just walking around, I usually enjoy it a lot, in fact.
Honestly, I'm not completely sure what to put here, so if there's something I've forgotten, something you wanna know, or you just want a friendly chat, feel free to throw me a message :)
P.s. I've recently moved back in with my father at his place, and while I'm sure he can be persuaded to take a surfer every now and then, I'd honestly prefer to wait with hosting until i havr my own place again :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To me, couchsurfing simply seems like a more fun way to see a new place, and a great opportunity to meet new people. That way, you avoid getting pointed in whatever direction there is most tourist-money to be made, but instead get to see everything on another level, with a local person who just might be able to show you a different side of things. And besides, isn't it exciting to meet new people, especially from foreign cultures? :)
Interests
I love reading. I really enjoy playing video games too, but I don't expect that to be too relevant in a travelling context. I've recently found a passion for the natural sciences, and I really want to learn more about them, since I find my current knowledges in the areas pretty limited. Also recently, I've found that i really enjoy taking long walks. I love music, and have even written some mostly unfinished raplyrics. I'd really like to play an instrument on my own, and currently, I'm thinking of learning one in the general area of a lyre, or some other sort of handheld harp. I also really enjoy roleplaying, both classic Dungeons and Dragons style 'round-the-table, and Live Action Role Play.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy music from almost every genre, with reggae being the one notable excpetion(with a few exceptions of it's own, of course, but in general i don't like the genre). I do have a soft spot for rap though, especially danish rap, but will listen listen to almost anything, and probably enjoy most of it.
When it comes to movies, I don't actually watch a lot of those. When I do, it's usually nothing too realistic or serious, and I really enjoyed this wave of superhero movies we've been having, with them usually being neither realistic nor serious.
I simply love reading. I strongly prefer to read fantasy or science fiction, but that is not to say that I'd never lay eyes on a page of anything else, but I will usually have to have it recommended(heavily and repeatedly). Usually I read stories set in dark, gritty universes full of fatherstabbing and sisterscrewing, and I love reading of dystopian futures and post-apocalyptic hellscapes, but sometimes, I just need to catch a break from all that, and read something funny and lighthearted.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm not exactly sue how to interpret this 'question'. Are we talking about some experience that I personally find amazing, or some direct act I have done, that someone else has found amazing? For now, i'll just go with the former.
From when I was about 4 years old, and until I was 10, I lived in Nuuk, the capital city of Greenland, and up there, northern lights are a relatively common occurence, but it's still one of the most beautiful things I remember seeing in my life. I remember how the other kids had told me that I had to be careful when the northern lights were out in the night, and it was best not to go alone, lest the spirits living in the lights might descend, rip off your head, and play soccer with it with the northern lights as playing field. I was terrified. I hope to see them again, with other eyes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I don't like to travel on a budget, so I will almost always be able to cover all my expenses, and if not, I will say so beforehand. I am always willing to help around the house with cleaning and sosuch. And of course, I am always willing to share my experiences and stories, though not many of them are travel-related yet :)
