I grew up in Texas but was stationed in Colorado after high school when I joined the Air Force. I separated and went to school for music (music composition). Wanting something more secure, I got into teaching English/classroom technology. I moved to Thailand to teach and intern for a while and then to Colombia.

I currently live and teach/do research in Colombia. I still compose music on the side, mostly choral and orchestral. I seem to have found a good balance ;)

I want to take a more avant garde approach to traveling and be more adventurous when the mood strikes. I've heard great stories and experiences from folks who couch surf and I want in on the awesomeness ;)

Presented the United States Colors for the national Anthem as an Air Force serviceman during the 2007 World Series (baseball). Being on the field and feeling the roar of the crowd was unforgettable.

I am trained in classical voice in piano. If there is a piano or keyboard around, I'd be more than willing to teach you a tune. I also bring plenty of culture from the African American community.
