About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I just want to dance.
ABOUT ME
Somewhat new to Brooklyn I'm currently working at soul cycle trying to climb the ladder at my own pace. Finished my marketing degree December 2014 via State University of New York at Oswego. I was born and raised in Jamaica then immigrated to New York when i was eleven years old. I have a profound love and curiosity for all countries of the world and wish to travel and meet as many people as possible not only as an adventurous conquest but also as a means of self discovery.
PHILOSOPHY
YOLO? lol
Despite the ridiculous adaptation and overuse of the acronym i find it amusing and semi-relevant to my live, laugh, love mentality.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Interests
In terms of things that grab my attention i'd have to say good conversation and like-mindedness. I try to stay fit, but subsequently also am a glutton, the idea of delicious food tends to put a smile on my face. Whenever possible I enjoy going out and soaking up the nightlife, preferably via dancing and having a few drinks while making friends. I also like the idea of full submersion of cultures and countries unlike my own. That being said, I see myself as very outgoing and willing to try pretty much anything, if at least only for a laugh or story.

Music, Movies, and Books
Very eclectic blend of music and movies. As for books i more so lean toward the classics.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1. Upon my arrival to New York I quite memorably felt this sort of social shrinking feeling, not necessarily that I became less important, but simply that compared to my comfortable small island of Jamaica I was now plunged into a massive, greatly diverse country and it became my duty to expand, mature, and acculturate to this new land and its people.
2. Needless to say one does not simply not notice the cornucopia of foods smattered throughout urban areas, especially coming from a country where each and every corner-shop simply made due by trying to put a spin on local/ethnic dishes to get by, rarely straying from the bread and butter so to speak. Then within weeks of my arrival to New York, I was introduced to "Chinese food", a.k.a spicy chicken wings with plain fried rice.... and then things were different.
3. My first and so far only impromptu international adventure landed me in Puerto Rico were something deeper than the wonderful landscape, gorgeous women , and delicious cuisine really grabbed me. There existed this familial sense of camaraderie that I noted during the Three Kings seasonal celebration. A bond shared between kin and likewise strangers of genuine empathetic good-will which resonated with me. A truly heartwarming feel that made the disappointments of the trip more or less irrelevant.
