I am a 22 year old student from Scotland who loves to travel and meet new people. I am a very open, easy going person and would like to think i am good fun to be around.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have only just started using couchsurf after recommendations from friends and people i have met travelling. It seems to me that it will be able to give me the opportunity to see new places and to meet locals from these places, one of the main reasons i love to travel.

Interests

I love music, i play guitar, piano and saxophone - with guitar being my favourite instrument. I have been playing since i was 9 and it has become a huge part of my life.

I am also a huge fan of sport. I have played rugby my whole life, and also play hockey and cricket.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - i have a wide range of musical tastes, from rock and indie guitar based music, to electronic and dance music. I love seeing live bands and during the summers i try to go to as many music festivals as i can.

Films - Fight Club, Birdman, Whiplash, Trainspotting, Django Unchained, Inception, American History X

Books - i study english literature at university so i spend a lot of my time reading! I am a huge fan of the beat generation, modernist writers such as TS Eliot and Virginia Wolfe, and classic american novels

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have ice climbed a 6000m mountain in Bolivia.

I have also taught spanish and guitar classes before and would be happy to teach anyone who may be interested.
