I wish to meet new people, experience the ways others live, and immerse myself in local culture while traveling! In the future, I hope to host others. This community can be a wonderful cultural exchange.

Interessen

Traveling, of course. It is so wonderful to meet people from all over and share in humanity in different ways. Diversity is amazing and I appreciate diversity of all kinds in people.

Learning. I am always taking my experiences and making the most out of them. Through life experience I grow as a person! I see myself as a life-long learner.

Being in nature. Having a connection with my surroundings is an integral part of my humanness. While in environments that are in their natural state, I am able to reflect, absorb, and simply be.

Baking. Producing food can be deeply satisfying for me. Sometimes this act of baking can become an art!

Meeting new people. Connection with others is at the core of our needs. This adds richness to life. Through interaction with others, I am also able to further understand different viewpoints and ways of being.

Art. A method of expression. A means of connection. A viewpoint into the essence of other peoples, cultures, and times.

Ceramics. The art area in which I have the most experience! Working with basic earth elements to create art is wonderful.

Performance Poetry. A way of feeling and expressing myself through live art. A way to connect with and discover unknown parts of myself.

Reading. Fantasy as a way to travel to other worlds, worlds perhaps known only to the author. Also reading for educational purposes.

Skiing. Mainly cross country as a wonderful form of exercise and outdoor time.

Sustainable living. Simple respect for the environment should be enough to spur everybody! Today, sustainable living is more necessary than ever for the continuation of life as we know it.

History. There is much to learn from the times before us. The people who existed before us impact who we are today. By learning about my own history, as well as that of the world, I am better able to understand this relationship.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I enjoy playing the piano! I am continuing to learn and improve. Self expression is important to me, and music playing is one way I am able to achieve this. I also like choral singing, and have previously sung in choirs!

I have long been an avid reader. I particularly enjoy genres of fantasy, science fiction, and legal thrillers. Books for me are often a means to explore worlds unknown to most people, perhaps only known to the author themselves. Also, reading for academic purposes.

I sat in on a lecture, the Politics of Climate Change, by Professor Lord Giddens while visiting London!

I have to share another :D. I soaked in a sunset while sitting in Piazzale Michelangelo overlooking beautiful Florence, listening to a performer busking.

Watching the northern lights dance in the sky while relaxing in a hot tub in Northern Finland.
