About Me
I'm a university student from the eastern US. I study history and international relations. I've been traveling a lot recently, especially because I started going to school in the UK. I like to talk about news, politics, culture, or whatever else really!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Since my freshman year of high school, I've been fascinated in experiencing as many people, places, and things as I can. Traveling has been the best way for me to do that. In particular, I want to explore urban areas around the world. If anyone would be so kind as to host me, I would be extremely excited not just to have some lodging, but to really get to know you, as well as see and do some awesome things.
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a lot of 80s jpop and funk, as well as some more contemporary rappers like Childish Gambino, Young Thug, and A$AP Ferg .
I like all kinds of movies. Some movies I really like are Goodbye Lenin, Call Me by Your Name, The Babadook, Blade Runner, and The Departed. Harold and Kumar is a comedy I somehow really like.
I mostly read nonfiction now. My favorite book is Catch-22 by Joseph Heller, and a few honorable mentions for fiction are One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and The Orphan Master's Son. Well-done nonfiction books that I like are Blackshirts and Reds by Michael Parenti, Revolution from Above by David Kotz and Fred Weir, and Blood Lies by Grover Furr.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm personable, willing to explore, go out, or stay at home, easygoing in most situations, and not likely to over-rely on my host. Of course, I can also provide easy English-speaking practice.
