ABOUT ME

I'm shy and quiet when you first meet me but then once we find a common interest there is no shutting me up. I get easily excited over new hobbies and am always looking to try something new. I also talk about fantasy travel plans constantly. I am always there for my friends when they need me. I love going to the beach and I have a new love of salsa dancing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I absolutely love the idea behind couch surfing. It is such a fantastic way to travel and meet new people and share experiences.
I've been on this site for a while but my experience is limited. I have mostly offered car-pooling and been to a couple couch surfing meet-ups. I have stayed at a couple people's houses while travelling around the US with 3 French girls who I met on the road. My first experience being hosted was a great introduction to couch surfing and I would like to be able to offer that to others.

Interests

I like to hear about other people's culture and their country. I enjoy learning new languages. I spend most of my time studying and working. During my free time I enjoy reading, gardening, cooking and hanging with my friends at the beach. I just started learning Italian, Spanish, salsa dancing and surfing. Despite my fear of drawing I have received my open water PADI certificate and it is amazing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the forests of Yakushima, Japan a monkey appeared before me and possed, watching me before climbing into a nearby tree. During a 3 hour bike ride on Yakushima my companion and I found a recently hatched turtle nest. We ended our ride at a tranquil waterfall, leaving us rejuvenated for the ride back to the youth hostel.

The time I spent a late afternoon wriggling my toes in the black sand beach of Vulcano as the sun began to set out at sea, the sun appearing almost purple. I left the camera in my hotel room, but I can still vividly remeber the way the sun looked in the sky.
