Hello! Thanks for checking out my profile. I am a tropical biologist just finishing my graduate school degree UNIFI in Florence. I'm studying tropical biology for my Erasmus Mundus master's degree, which is based in Brussels. I am from Washington D.C, USA and studied for my bachelor's degree in Houston, Texas. I love getting to meet new people and exploring the city or going for a hike.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am studying and travelling around Europe, and I have used couchsurfing briefly in the past, so I thought I'd give it another try! I have always enjoyed connecting with local people to make at least one friend from a place that I visit.

Interests

Love nature and the outdoors, hiking, photography, traveling, and eating delicious food. I'm also really into theater and did a lot of plays in high school/university.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm really into alternative rock, dance, and some pop music. My favorite movie of all time is UP! by Pixar, and I love the Hunger Games and Harry Potter series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked as a field research assistant in Madagascar for a few summers, where I got to camp in the rainforest for 2 weeks at a time and hang out with lemurs! I even got to have a sleepover with one in my tent.
