About Me
Hey! I'm Jake, I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and have, from a young age, cultivated a fascination with art, literature, and architecture (the latter of which I am earning a degree in!). I spent most of my life as a pretty sedentary individual, rarely leaving my home state save for a few family vacations to the northern most woods of Wisconsin and trips to the Indiana sand dunes. But much has changed since my adolescence and the spirit of travel is vibrant in me as it in is many of my age!
As for hobbies of mine, I've been practicing martial arts for eleven years and I've found it an amazing way to clear my head for a few hours, though it's become more and more difficult to make time for it. Towards the end of my senior year of highschool I picked up photography and purchased my first DSLR two years after that, it's proven to provide an interesting lens (pun!) through which to view and interact with my changing landscape.
