Overview
About Me
Hello and Welcome to my profile! My name is Jalil, I grew up in Casablanca before moving to England for my undergraduate degree. I am an International Business graduate who has recently decided to follow his dream of becoming a Chef!
In short, I am a foodie, eternal traveler, cinephile. Always here to aliment a fiery debate or enjoy a stimulating conversation (Also, I know my wines). Not to forget I am always ready to party or down to go on a crazy adventure... so make me ;)
What can I say, I am naturally motivated with a head always overflowing with ideas but can also lie on the extreme opposite of the spectrum and become an introverted lazy couch potato when lacking the appropriate stimulation. If we click you will find yourself talking to a fun and warmhearted person, I am reliable, generous and most of all always ready for a laugh.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
During my travels and study abroad experiences, I have met hundred of people from every corner of the world. I have managed to transform those relationships into everlasting friendships.
Being on Couchsurfing will help me perpetuate the experience, meet even more interesting and beautiful people, learn about the world, culture, cuisine and languages. From my point of view, every travel is a spiritual journey and thus having the right guide will allow me to reach the state of completion I am looking for :)

Music, Movies, and Books
An eternal lover of 60s Rock&Roll and Psychedelic music, Not ashamed to say that I would dance to any 80s song. Jazz, Manouche and Swing lover from Django to Parov Stelar- no discrimination!
A member of the Wes Anderson Society, always preaching "Rushmore" and "The Royal Tenenbaums. Eternal Fan of Kubrick and a lover of psychological thrillers. Amateur of Gangster stories "Once Upon a Time In America" , "City of God" and "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels lie amongst my favorite movies. A long-time enjoyer of romantic and slice of life content with beautifully depicted landscapes and detailed character portraits such as "Barry Lyndon"and "Amelie". Finally I am a big fan of Monty Python.
I also enjoy reading a lot. Growing up with Roald Dahl and The Harry Potter Series, I've also read the Illiad, Odyssey and Divine Comedy quite early in my years. I today focus my attention on Business books and inspiring biographies
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am trying to live my life as a succession of amazing stories so quoting only one of them would be impossible... I wouldn't know where to start or what experience to honor
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my enthusiasm for food, my salted caramel apple crumble recipe or favorite wines. I can also share my passion for drawing and story writing, echange creations or maybe even participate in a collaborative art piece. I would share my beautiful, incredible, funniest and also most embarrassing stories, hoping to hear yours in exchange. I would love to learn your language and would teach you French or Arabic
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can make you visit Lyon, if I'm free, go clubbing, enjoy a nice home-cooked meal or even dine out in one of the good tables of Lyon, Basically sharing the perks of being a culinary student :D
