Overview
About Me
I'm multi-faceted individual interested in many things. I'm creative, curious, and industrious. I like art, design, and architecture, as well as playing sports and musical instruments. I'm sociable but on the introverted side of the spectrum so I won't be intrusive!
I live in a rural spot in the Scottish Borders where I run a company that manufactures wood-burning stoves.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hosting
I live in a big house. It's a fun and creative space which comes alive when it's got people in it and so I feel that I need to share it!
Surfing
I've developed a penchant for visiting European cities recently but the Airbnb accommodation bills are mounting, so I'm keen to do more couch-surfing. I like meeting people and seeing how they live their lives in parts of the world I'm unfamiliar with.
Music, Movies, and Books
This changes daily, but today let's go for:
Music: 'Waterfall' by The Stone Roses (I'm a bit stuck in the 90s)
Movie: 'Hannah and Her Sisters' (I watched this last night and didn't fall asleep so it must have been good!)
Books: 'Live Like a Stoic' is currently on the coffee table.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Built my house.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to balance a wooden spoon on your nose. An invaluable dinner party trick!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food, drink, and conversation of course. I'm also very practical so if you have any DIY jobs I might be able to help. Pass me that hammer!
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, France, Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
England, Scotland
