my name is James Franklin I am currently 18 years old and I have a passion for travelling and meeting new cultures and people. I am going to university at the end of this month to study geography. I am half polish although I can speak very limited polish as well as this for a month last summer I was living in a city called Zaragoza in Spain as I was trying to be a semi, professional footballer .

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing because it appeals to my passions which are travelling and meeting new people and although I think hostels are a great way of doing this I think couch surfing is a lot more personal than that as you get to see the country's cultures in the perspective of one persons eyes who also lives there.

Music, Movies, and Books

One of my favourite movies is called Shawshank redemption because it teaches you many morals and has really famous actors in it such as Morgan freeman and was directed by Stephen King. I like pretty much all types of music apart from heavy metal it depends on my mood what music I want to listen to. My favourite book is a book called once by Morris Gleitzman which I read when I was about ten years old.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One Amazing thing I have done is something which I had already mentioned was going to Spain and living there on my own for a month at the age of seventeen this took a lot of self-determination but now looking back on it was an incredible experience as it made me mature a lot as a person.

I can teach my hosts how to cook several traditional English meals such as pie and mash which is very popular from where I am from.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to participate in activities with my host if they had time whether that be watching a movie or going for a walk in their city or even just connecting over some local food.
