About Me

Females preferred as my girlfriend doesn't like the idea of being home alone with an unknown man.

I work full time, am family orientated and keep the company of a few good friends.
I enjoy people as equally as I enjoy my alone time.

Just like a lot of people out there I am unsure about what to do and where to go next so I try to live life in the present, don't dwell too much on the past but learn from it and try not to plan to far into the future!

I believe everything happens for a reason, be it good or bad!

I am a very healthy eater and quite knowledgeable about food and the body (but I do lapse from time to time, I'm only human after all), I enjoy keeping my fitness up but I'm no super crazy gym junkie.

I really enjoy hearing and listening to stories of other peoples travel experience and cultures.

420 friendly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I can't afford to travel as much or as often as I'd like so I figure hosting travellers and learning from their experiences, lives and cultures is the next best thing!
I believe people are inherently good and you should treat others as you would expect to be treated.

Interests

When I'm not working I love to look after my garden, I only have a small patch of land but I have several fruit trees and a couple of veggie patches.

I enjoy fishing as well as spearfishing in the warmer months and the outdoors in general.

I can play guitar and am willing to teach the basics to anyone willing to make learn. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
ABBA to ZZ TOP and everything in between.
I go through phases but always towards the top are Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Black Keys, various hip hop artists and of course my number one, David Bowie.
Towards the bottom of the list (but not completely disliked, in fact LOVE 90s dance music) is the new era of music, house, techno, dance... anything on current mainstream radio basically haha!

Movies:
I grew up watching the old action heroes like Schwarzenegger and Van Damme but I'm equally as comfy with Comedy and will watch almost anything at least once.

Books:
I enjoy a good Autobiography.
Classic English literature.
I've read a lot of Ken Follett and Robert Ludlum novels.
Cook books and books on herbs, fishing, general interest type topics!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sat a 10 day Vipassana course.
Spent 2 weeks alone travelling China, it was a challenging place to hit first up but I quite enjoyed it.
Spent 5 werks travelling Europe with my girlfriend!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach others about the local area and culture.
I am a fast learner and good listener.
Sometimes I think I ask too many questions, I like to know anything and everything possible and if you don't ask you don't receive do you!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can provide a nice relaxing environment & share my local knowledge.
Days and times permitting we could go out on the town or meet up with some of my family and friends to share our culture!
