ABOUT ME

I am James. 21 years old. At the moment I'm at uni up in Durham, but have my parents house back in Stratford which I come to ... now..... Uni is just like party.. Pretty much.. Also I occasionally do work there :P haha I travelled around Australia and Thailand for 8 months and looking to do some more this Summer. In Oz I met my first couch-surfers (hence references) which was wicked. They party more than me! ;) hahaI have had an amazing time, and truely learnt a lot about myself. I have loved the travelling life! The socialness that comes with being a traveller, meeting amazing, interesting people. Living life in the sun :). So yeah can't get enough of it! :)

PHILOSOPHY

I love living life to the full.' Looking ahead no turning back' to quote the pursuit of happiness.
The way I see it you only live life once, and so you make the most of that. You do this by pushing yourself, trying new things, getting outside your comfort zone and having as much fun as possible! Connecting with people along the way is great. It means so much i have found. I couldnt live life without that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I am travelling I hope to surf couches, it would be nice gaining new perspectives and having lots of fun whilst im doing that.Get a different spin whilst im travelling.

When i am back home, my house will be open to couch surfers. Both the one in Stratford Upon Avon (Shakespears town!) And whilst i am in Duram at Uni, i will be happy to show people around this historic University town.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed for a couple of weeks at Jazz's and Kristies house in Sydney near Bondi Beach! It was amazing and made a nice change to hostels! They took me out round Sydney and I truely enjoyed life with these party animals!

Interests

I am interested in wildlife maybe pursuing a career in this. Possibly the media, as I have work experience in Reuters and I like the adventurous side of Journalism.. Persuing an internship in the city this Summer, try out the buisness world.. Enjoy travelling (ofcourse.) I love meeting new people and am a social and open person. I find it is really great to make new friends and connections, and meeting up with them again in fun new places.

Music, Movies, and Books

Fight Club - amazing film. Shawshank Redemption, insipes one a lot.
I read quite alot. Well at least back home.. When im travelling im normally to busy having fun doing other things :).
I like films with a deeper meaning. Although comedies are great too.
Books, i like loads. Anything from Lord Of the Rings, to easy going ones. Love good autobiographies aswell.. you learn alot from them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumped out of a plane at 14,000 with a parachute, after watching everyone else do it :S! I was slightly scared, and the video shows this!

When you travel its always best to talk to as many people as possible. Be friendly.. even if you don't feel like it. Its a win win, and after a few weeks of this you will be more naturally friendly and confident :).
