I fluctuate between quiet and thoughtful to highly animated in conversation. I'm not one for small talk but I can talk for hours about literature, philosophy, politics and music. I tend to say more about the world than myself, which is why I find these summaries so difficult. I like to pick up new hobbies such as photography and stop animation (if you have any creative interests I'd really like to hear about them.) I've travelled but I have further to go, and so far it's been Eastern Europe this year. I'm still on the road and will be searching out interesting areas to stop by.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Talking to other travellers about their experiences is great, but it's always from an outside, slightly detached perspective. So far on my travels I've found that I can learn so much more about a country and it's culture by speaking directly to the people who live there, so that's why I'm coachsurfing. Plus it's quite serendipitous that having very little money can open up this exact opportunity.

I like to collect odd little 60s ditties, from garage to girl-groups and psychedelia. I'm a bit of an obscure vinyl obsessive.

Always looking for new films to watch, I'd say my favourites are 2001: A Space Odyssey, My Dinner With Andre, Yellow Submarine and Beetlejuice to name a few.

I studied literature so I could talk about books for ages - love the beat triumvirate Kerouac, Burroughs and Ginsberg, Aldous Huxley, William Blake, Albert Camus etc.
