About Me

Hi! I am from London and me and my friend are recent university graduates. Instead of settling into a career, we decided to take a year off and travel the states for 6 months. We are into our final month here sadly, which we are spending in California. We have really seen the spectrum this beautiful country has to offer and have seen some fantastic places over the last few months.

We are both really easy going, sociable and friendly guys which I hope it is easy to see from my references. We got told about couch surfing during the first stop on our trip in Chicago, and have been using it where possible ever since! Although I thought it was a strange idea at first it has honestly been a great experience. We have met some very interesting and different people along the way and it has given us a unique perspective on the place we are visiting.

I would love to host in the future, and hopefully there is still time to have a couple more couch surfing experiences while I am still in the states. If you are considering hosting guests I can assure you that my friend and I are good company!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing in order to try a different way of travelling the world. In order to meet new people and gain some memorable experiences. I am keen to avoid hotels and instead stay with locals from the area to gain a real understanding of the place I am visiting. I love making new friends and learning from new people.

Interests

I love music of all kinds, particularly electronic music and I enjoy going to music events and festivals, watching my local DJ, and playing and making music myself. I enjoy playing and watching sport of any kind, going out with friends to bars and clubs, and relaxing watching films or playing games.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite genres of music are House and Techno, for example I've seen recently sets from Scuba, Jimmy Edgar and Skream. I also enjoy rock and acoustic music, such as bands like Mumford and Sons, Arctic Monkeys and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I recently watched 'The Big Short' which I thought was an amazing film and a classic favourite of mine is 'The Departed'. I am currently recently reading ' Notes from a big country' by Bill Bryson alongside 'I am Pilgrim' by Terry Hayes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 15 I ballboyed at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships. It involved a lot of training and I got to meet all the players.

Teach, Learn, Share

I will be keen to share with my hosts anything they need to know about London, such as places to go, things to eat & drink and my stories of growing up there! In turn, I am looking forward to engaging and learn from my hosts about how they perceive their city and gain local knowledge that I would not otherwise find.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with my hosts my travelling experiences, recommendations of things to see in London and stories from life in London and other places. I like to have a good conversation and will be looking forward to sharing with my hosts our different experiences of travelling.
