About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Quickly - do something.

ABOUT ME

I'm in my middle years at 49. I used to work in jobs with the word 'community' in it however, now I am the main carer for elderly dad while taking time out from work.

I think I have had a profile up here for a few years now. I used to host a lot when I lived in Phnom Penh a few years back. I really like the princilpe and helped out a few visitors to the city. I liked showing people around.

PHILOSOPHY

In the end what you give is what you get. I try to be kind all the time but I like to have as much fun as I can get away with.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I say, I like the principle of sharing space and time with like minded people. I have made some friends and good connections here...tho admittedly, none of whom I have seen other than hosting/being hosted...yet.

Interests

Enjoy eating/cooking, resting, reading, watching, listening, being active especially gardening and cycling, river and sea swimming, walking and making stuff out of old pallets. Love travel and learning from new places and people.

Currently trying to paint and to write and cook while caring for elderly dad in his nice house in a nice town in Suffolk, England . Enjoying not working presently.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I climbed a really big mountain in the eve/night and camped out on the top with some friends and in the morning the sun came up and I saw how high up we were and it was V pretty and a bit like taking drugs tho I hadn't (taken any) . Mount Sinai. Egypt.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you all the guitar and piano chords I know and and clunk along as if I know what I am doing. Also, I shamefully play Texas Foldem/Holdem poker too much...but only for pennies during lock-down.

Have had 300+ days on Duo Lingo App - Spanish pero es dificil for my thickie brain.
