About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Liberated from "Normal Life" on May 31, 2020. Now living #jamieshoeboxlife where I can still host, though only a single female at a time due to my current small living space.
ABOUT ME
Interested in others, works with international teenagers. Considered abrasive by some because I don't play games or operate under false niceties. Be straight with me, and I'll be straight with you. #thenicestbitchyoullmeet
I'll also tell you about all the incredulous times that my life has been a lie; yet I still know the truth. #loveisheranswer
PHILOSOPHY
Umm... Be excellent to one another. And party on dude.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently living in a one bedroom apartment, so only have a couch and floor space. I may look for an occasional one or two night host as I travel around various destinations.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I really enjoyed being able to offer a landing site for others over the years. I'll be a surfer for a bit now.
Interests
I work with international teenagers and committed volunteers through YFU USA. I like to meet people, previously rode my own Harley for 20 years, owned a Jeep for a couple years, enjoy target shooting, traveling domestically and internationally whenever possible, I enjoy my work and having good conversations with good people. I'm apparently very liberal because I do think all people should be equal and that kindness should win. #ArmyOfKindness

Music, Movies, and Books
Primarily a "Top 40's" radio listener. with a lean towards 60's - 90's music, then Jazz and Blues. Enjoy comedies and dramatic movies, some horror but suspense more than bloodbaths these days. I've survived worse and don't find it good "entertainment" anymore. I'm trying to expand my literature, yet still I'm a "Constant Reader" of Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and Anne Rice specifically.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hosted 17 international kids full time, plus many more intermittently. Traveled to South Korea with military, then Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, Germany, Estonia, Finland and New Zealand for fun. China, South Korea, Japan, Germany, and Netherlands with work. New plan is retirement to a "family home" in southern Italy. Travel internationally when I can, and wish it were more often. I've been many places in the USA, but that experience will be expanded tenfold over the next year or five.
Teach, Learn, Share
I do like when people can share knowledge in order to help others improve themselves, or do something more efficiently. Pretty patient about showing folks how to do something I know how to do.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm fun, positive, conversational. I like to keep things tidy, so I'll clean up after myself to the point you might not know I was there, or in some cases I leave things tidier then when I got there. I don't judge anyone that isn't as tidy as me. If I want to clean it, I'll ask first so as not to offend.
