I am Jan, a slow traveler by heart who is trying out something new :)👇🏽

As of the summer of '25 my girlfriend Jenske and I left The Netherlands and started travelling with our campervan. No jobs, less stress and A LOT more time to discover, meet interesting people all around, make connections and help people out (for instance through Workaway).

Most of the days we don't know where we will sleep the day after, who we will meet or what what we are gonna do. It's all in the open. A beautiful adventure with endless options (sometimes it is a bit overwhelming, but in a good way).

We don't have a certain goal or destination for our adventure. But if we do have to point something out it would be a greater understanding of people, nature and the cohesivness between them.

Jenske is cheerful, goofy and an excellent connection maker.
I am energetic, open minded and a good listener.
Together we make a happy couple that loves to have deep conversations about culture, love, politics, the universe, you name it✨️ We share other interests like a big interest in the environment, equality in any form, nature and all the beautiful hikes it has to offer, visit festivals, play boardgames, make funny jokes and enjoy tables filled with nice food :)

Of course, there is a lot more to tell, but we rather do that accompanied by a nice coffee, tea, beer or wine and you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Cs for me is about meeting new people, sharing stories and experiences, learn about new cultures, music, food and languages.
The first time I came across CS was on my first Camino de Santiago. A world opened up and I've stayed on the platform ever since.

Gosh, if Spotify was a person, it probably was one of my best friends. Lately I'm quite into French music: Stromae; Poupie; Marie-Flore and classics like Claude François and Jean Ferrat.
In general I'm listening to indie pop, dutch pop, 60's and songs offered by fellow travellers.
