My name is Jane (Yana in Ukrainian), though my friends usually call me Ptashka (which means 'bird') or Yanchyk or whatever they can make up)
I'm a very active and enthusiastic person, so it's really difficult for me to stay in the same place for long. I adore meeting new people to exchange our knowledge and experience. What else?) I'm interested in buddhist philosophy and the idea of NVC (nonviolent communication). I like listening to the rain, love our planet Earth, and believe that life is wonderful!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I decided to use Couchsurfing because I'm a great lover of travelling and meeting new people all around the world.
Of course, we always can stay in hotel or hostel, though, as for me, it's not the point of travelling, as you won't plunge yourself into another culture. The real point is to see how other people live, what they prefer to eat or drink, what music they listen to and so on.
Besides, it is always funny to pick up some foreign language directly from the native speakers)
I find it also really cool to explore new towns and villages with the locals, who know many interesting out of the way places and can show you where to buy the most delicious local food ;)

Music - almost every genre from classical music to post-hardcore, especially like indi :) Some of my favourite bands: Alt-J, Imagine Dragons, 21 pilots, The Neighbourhood, SOAD, The Beatles, Vivienne Mort etc.
Favourite movies: The Last Samurai, 7 years in Tibet, The Cloud Atlas, Mr. Nobody, anime feature films by Hayao Miyazaki
