About Me

Well, physically I look younger than my age.

I'm a Registered Nutritionist-Dietitian in our country and is currently unemployed because I choose to focus more on finishing my Master's degree.

I love music, especially folk songs from different nations. Every folk song makes me feel like I'm spiritually traveling a foreign community & getting myself exposed in their culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Basically, I had no idea what Couchsurfing was but I got interested when I happened to watch a video on YouTube regarding free travels. I am not after the travel alone but I am looking forward to the learnings I get by exposing myself to different culture. I am from a country where most people experience culture shock whenever a foreigner (most likely from the West) brings a part of his/culture to our community. I find Couchsurfing as one of ways of to lessen the culture shock. This may help others to understand and accept others for what they are and how their different cultures have mold them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Regina Spektor, Rachel Sermanni, Lucy Rose, Lucia Maria Popescu, Russian Red, Lisa Hannigan, Emily Wells

Movies - About wars, biography, history, comedy, horror films (Literally not into Sci-Fi, vampires, & zombies)

Books - I'm more interested in unpopular authors & books (again, as long as it's not Sci-Fi, vampires, & zombies)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For me, the most amazing thing I've ever done in my life (I mean this) is spending my birthday with the street dwellers & the ones from the shanty towns in our city & share my birthday food to them. That was also the happiest birthday I've ever had.

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH: I can teach, perhaps, more on my Profession & debunk some misconceptions. Our local cuisines ain't that bad to try.

LEARN: I strongly believe that I live & learn -- that's perpetual. Whatever I encounter in life has a lesson for me to heed.

SHARE: I can share whatever things or events I can relate to. May it have to do with my profession, experience in a specific event, or simply a take on a current situation.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can be a health adviser when it comes to food. Health is something I monitor each & every time and it is a must for me to be concerned of others' health as well.

A traditional Filipino and a colonized Filipino culture. I may share to the host the differences between the traditional & colonized Filipinos and the characteristics that have been forgotten & have remained.
