I'm passionate about film making, visual arts, music, social philosophy (especially anarchism and leftist ideas) and cycling. I studied film production in Turku arts academy. Now I work with documentary films and do sound designing for theater, studio recording, audio engineering for music festivals. I enjoy swimming, walking in forest, camping, sailing and other outdoor activities. I moved to Rovaniemi on autumn 2018 to study master of arts degree of audiovisual media culture in the University of Lapland.

Here's some important aurora information for aurora hunters:
Many people are coming to Lapland to see northern lights, if you want to see them my recommendation is then to stay longer than few days, since it is not something that happens every day or every week even. It depends on the sun's activity. Northern lights (aurora borealis) are seen when the magnetosphere in space close to earth is disturbed sufficiently by the solar wind. Charged particles (neutrons and protons) hit the upper atmosphere around north pole due to Earth's magnetic field. To be able to see northern lights sky must be clear. You don't need a northern lights hunting tour to be able to see them. Just the weather must be right in Earth and in space. Chances also grow when you go more north from Rovaniemi. Inari, Ivalo, Saariselkä, Kilpisjärvi for example are better locations.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Couchsurfing is a great way to meet local people while travelling and make new friends all over the world.

I did a coast-to-coast road trip in USA with friends and we're mostly couchsurfing and camping along the way. Everyone we met through couchsurfing were really nice!
