About Me

I'm just a regular college student who loves to travel a lot and meet new people!

My friends would most likely describe me as an out-going, nice, open-minded guy, who never misses out if there's drinking event going on (cheers!).
There's not much stuff that I wouldn't do, I'm pretty much down for everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a total newbie when it comes to couchsurfing, but I wanted to try it out. Usually i like hostels very much since there's so much going on, but sometimes I look for calmer and more personal places.

Interests

Apart from studying I like to meet friends, travel and meet new people. Also, I do a lot of sport when I am at home, but in the last few months I've been travelling so I couldn't do much to keep myself active (except from hiking).

I also watch a lot of movies, listen to a lot of music (I almost always have my headphones on) and read a good book.

Music, Movies, and Books

You can find my last.fm (it tracks what you listen to) account here: www.last.fm/de/user/Bodehode
In general I have no real preference when it comes to music.

----------------------------------

If I just want to kill some time I like action movies, e.g. Taken, The Transporter, etc.
If I want to watch a nice movie and concentrate on it, two of my favorite ones are "The Help" and "The Perks of being a Wallflower".

----------------------------------

I'll just list a few books which I found to be very good:(no particular order)

- Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes
- The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
- The Stars my Destination by Alfred Bester
- Star Wars - The Thrawn trilogy by Timothy Zahn
- The Count of Monte Christo by Alexandre Dumas
- Colors of the Mountain by Da Chen

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took the transsiberian train from Moscow to Beijing (followed by another 2,000km from Beijing to Guangzhou).

It was awesome, definitely recommended!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you German, some English, and a few words of Spanish. I've also read a decent amount of books about self motivation and habit building.

Almost forgot, I am a fairly decent cook, so we could cook together or I will cook for you and we can share some recipes :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

You will definitely get a small present from the place I've been to before coming to you! :)

Other than that, I am very open-minded and talkative person, so I'd love to share some stories, experiences and whatnot with you (be it about culture, traveling, food, politics...).
