I'm Jarrod^^ 제로드라고 합니다~

I'm originally from South Africa but have been living in Korea for around 5 years! I majored in Maths and Physics from the University of Cape Town and had been teaching English in Korea full time. Recently I became a freelancer, including teaching at schools part time, private lessons and translation work.

My goals in life are to travel to as many places as possible, far and wide, and meet as many different people as possible - I find this world vast and fascinating^^ I also wanna learn as many languages as possible - at least to a basic level :)) Currently I speak English, Afrikaans and Korean, but have learnt the basics of others like Turkish and Arabic.

*IMPORTANT: I'm not using CS to save money on accommodation - I genuinely want to explore a city or country like a local and meet amazing people. CS allows me to do that (and yes, of course I can save money too lol) So I'm looking for hosts who are serious about meeting travelers :))

Not much of a movie- or book-person, but music is my deepest passion - I don't have a very wide range of music I connect with, but I feel a deep emotional and intellectual connection with classical music

I would love to share my life story - where I've come from and where I'm going, and I would love to learn about others' lives and hear about others' stories at the same time - the human connection is beautiful^^

I know a thing or two about math and physics, if you're interested in that sort of thing ;) and also deeply interested in politics, history, geography, and culture!

I'm a high-intermediate/low-advanced Korean speaker and have taken many hours of formal Korean history, society, law, culture, politics, etc. if you would like to know about Korea from a foreigner's perspective :))
