About Me
Hello! My name is Jasmine! I am an eclectic and adventurous spirit. I enjoy traveling and meeting new people! I am a public school teacher- and am constantly trying to find a way to meet new people and travel, but also live within my means. I look forward to meeting you and sharing stories!! If you have any questions about me- please ask! I am new to couch surfing and trying to get the hang of the whole "experience"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couch surfing because I am very passionate about meeting new people. In my international endeavors- my interactions with the local people have had tj most lasting impact, so in my upcoming trip- I hope to create a similar experience with people from all over the globe!
Interests
I am interested in comedy, travel, television, books, knitting, and new cultures!
Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite books of all time are the Harry Potter series, I also enjoy a variety of other books. Movies I enjoy are any musicals, I Am Sam, the Pursuit of Happiness, Forrest Gump, etc. Music- I teach music to primary students- so my music taste is very wide and includes just about anything.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a summer in South Africa, living with a local family. Some of my favorite things I did were spend the day on the beach with local kids, and shark dive with the great whites off of seal island. The most TERRIFYING thing I did was bungee jump off of the tallest commercial bungee jump in the WORLD (I still get cold sweats about this particular experience😳)
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a music teacher in the public schools! I have basic skills in almost ALL American instruments. It would be a thrill to help anyone in their pursuit to learning any of these instruments- but especially to learn any instrument from NEW areas and cultureS.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am an easy going and fun loving person who loves to chat, share stories, laugh, and go on adventures!
