About Me
Hi Couchsurfers! I'm Jason and I am university student currently studying International Business at SRH Hochsule Heidelberg in Heidelberg, Germany. I'm originally from Southern California in the United States where I work as an ocean lifeguard for the City of Huntington Beach. I enjoy surfing, snowboarding and skiing, traveling, and anything that involves movement and being outside!
So far I have travelled extensively through many South Pacific islands, Central America, and most currently, Europe. Most of my traveling was for chasing waves and warm water, but I also have spent quite a bit of time skiing and camping in different mountain ranges in the United States searching for deep, fresh snow.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm looking to travel as much as I can while meeting new friends and learning about how they enjoy life in this world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Harry Potter, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Into Thin Air, Fearless
Movies: I don't watch too many movies, except for surf and ski films but I would have to say Fishpeople by the outdoor company Patagonia and the Lord of The Rings trilogy.
Music: I listen to huge variety of music, but I would have to say alternative and rock is the most common I listen to.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have too many "most amazing" memories but if i had to share one, it would be when I was in the South Pacific. I have spent quite a bit of time in the ocean and one of my fondest ocean memories is diving and surfing on the beautiful reefs of Pohnpei, Micronesia. The water was incredibly clear and you could see the reef, fish, and all different kinds of life pass by as you were surfing beautiful, deep pacific blue waves. I spent 9 hours surfing during that perfect day!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am always up for an interesting conversation on any subject! I enjoy learning about other peoples opinion and views. And of course, trying the local beers is always a great icebreaker.
