À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

To develop into a truly non judgmental, and expansive person.

ABOUT ME

Hi there. I am a joyful lover of nature and its multifaceted beings, so I spend alot of time outdoors with my animals and various projects connected to nature. My latest project is creating a biodiversity woodland and lake area on 5 hectares of land. That has been great fun. I have goats, hens, dogs, miniature pony (this years project is to train her to harness, at present she is the lawnmower), peacocks, pet goose (who 'gaurds' the house), 3 rescue parrots, and 2 dogs. We grow organic vegetables all year round. There are 3 of us living here,My husband Jeremy who lives in a cabin on the land (likes his own space) myself , and a friend who lives in one half of our house. I also host WWOOFers and Helpxers regularly.I go to Spain alot (Las Alpujarras, in Andalucia), and I work with The elderly part-time.I am a practising Buddhist and meditate everyday.I have 5 grownup children, and 11 grandchildren !!!There is lots more ofcourse, but that will give you an idea.

PHILOSOPHY

Do unto others as one would have done onto oneself.Be grateful.Buddhist.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Time will tell, I am very busy at home, so find it hard to get away.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to couchSurfing.

Centres d'intérêt

I dont really have much 'free time', or at least I fill it up with looking after the animals and keeping busy on the land, and that is where I find my joy and my grounding in life. I feel 'whole' when I am helping to nurture nature, any sense of 'seperation' I might labour under becomes healed. Collecting eggs, milking the goats, listening to the pony 'cronching' her hay is what fills my heart. Watching the woodpile grow, sculpting the muck heap.I love the lush greenery of Irish countryside. I love the dry arid mountains of Southern Spain, covered in Rosemary and Thyme, Lavender and Sage. I like a good novel, a good film, other peoples cooking.Current Affairs and Human Rights. The honesty of a childs smile. And much, much more besides.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Riding my horse into the Irish Atlantic sea to watch two dolphins playing together just 5 metres out from me. They were jumping and entwining, plunging and coming together over and over again. It was the play of love, and to top it all, there was a very tiny baby dolphin weaving in and out of their lovemaking throughout. My horse and I watched them, so close to us, for at least 15 minutes, and then I became overwhelmed, my senses went into overload, so we galloped away from them, along the beach, feeling absolute completeness.
