Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm Jean. I'm 25 and I'm Italian. I have lived is Aosta (Italy) until my 15. Then I moved to Nice (France) to finish High School. After that, I went to Lyon (France) to study Philosophy. Since 3 years my researches focus on Food, Food System and the Philosophy of Food. I'm planning a Ph.D. but first I want to travel a little in order to discover new cultures and amazing people which will for sure open my mind.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It is a cheap way to travel and visit new places but it is for sure the MAIN WAY to meet new people and truly enter the atmosphere of new places. In fact, there is no interest to discover a city without meeting the people who live there!!!
Interests

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living in Japan for 6 months and discover how amazing is a culture is when structured by a different mental frame than yours. What is astonishing is not the external differences (cars, buildings, roads, ...) but the internal one (moral principles, sense of beauty, daily practices, ...). The ones that you can only catch by living with people, talking with them and listening carefully what and why they are saying.
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak fluently Italian and French. Maybe we can do a tandem and while you teach me some words in English I can teach you some in Italian or French:)
What I Can Share with Hosts
There is one thing I would like to share with my host: a meal!
Because it is a social activity where people can enjoy good food and good thoughts.
