ABOUT ME

I love volunteering around the world, living the culture. the language, the feel of each place, keen to explore, listen and learn and have fun! I love nature, wildlife, mountains, rivers,lakes everything outdoors, am very active though a quiet spell here and there in a hammock is always appreciated!
I'm planning a book to write down some of the experiences I've had, to make people laugh and hopefully, travel!

I like to learn new things, be open to them, try them if they resonate with me.
I love to be outside, in the sunshine, appreciating this beautiful life ;-)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Keen to try most things, new foods, experiences, cultures. I enjoy meeting people and listening to their stories, hiking with them, learning from them, contributing to their experience as well I think. It is a small world and it's good to reach out and help/listen.

Nature, outdoor activities (all of them!), history & architecture, hiking/trekking, swimming/snorkelling, animals/birds of all kinds, writing, reading & creating!Healing therapies, yoga, massage. Cooking new recipes (I'm a chef)with local fresh ingredients, dancing, socialising, non smoker. I like most things really though I admit am not that bothered about football, sports on TV, prefer them live.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailed sailing ketch in NZ doing dolphin tours, also albatross, seals, penguins etc there
Ran a 2000acre cattle ranch in Oz, 600 cattle, sole charge
Climbed 3500m mountain in Italy in Winter, met some random guys who then took me down for lunch!
Raised a baby wallaby and magpie in Oz, fantastic experiences..too many to count!
