About Me

our family has hosted international students for years. When our children were still at home we had high school students live with us for several months at a time. More recently, we have hosted international university students as their local connection - they lived on campus, while we provided a home away from home when they needed it. Thus our global interests have led us to give this a try.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My husband and I love to travel away from the tourist path where we can "meet the people who live there". Couch surfing seems like it fits that ideal. We are both retired now and with more time to travel, we feel we are ready to give this a try.

Love a good documentary

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My husband and I both used to race Jeeps, some people find that interesting - but amazing? My husband has many talents and can fix or repair anything at all. He has restored many classic cars. We've flipped a couple of houses, doing all the work ourselves - that might be considered amazing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We are looking for a quiet, comfortable room as we are pass through - quiet if they wish, or company if they prefer that. Not party people but love happy hour and love to "observe" any local flavor that happens to surround us. "When in Rome" you know.
