Overview
About Me
I'm a person who enjoys deep conversations, learning about another culture/history, and trying new things. For me, travelling involves not only exploring places but meeting people and journeying through the stories they share.
I'm currently a full-time PhD student in the UK studying about development and international relations. I am currently in Bavaria, Germany for my visiting researcher post in Ludwig Maximillian University. Before venturing into a PhD, I used to work on development programmes in Asia Pacific helping out governments do their work better.
I don't have that many references yet since I barely use Couchsurfing. However, in 2019, I had an awesome experience being hosted by new friends in Italy and Switzerland so I thought of continually using it. Unfortunately, Pandemic hit so I'm only returning to this again this 2022.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing combines 2 things I love, meeting people and travelling. I love meeting people, listening to their stories and exchanging thoughts. I love travelling, learning about other cultures and soaking on the soul of a different places I believe that through couchsurfing, we can bridge the divide and address the misunderstandings in the world.
I am currently in Germany for a visiting researcher post. I can host if you are travelling to Turkheim, Bavaria.:)
Interests
I am a combination of old soul meets geeky head and adventurous lass. My perfect weekend is to travel outdoors and end it with a good book with classical music. On weekdays, I submerge myself with academic papers and end it with a good show on Netflix.
When my current life allows, I spend time socializing with people to know their stories, what makes them happy, and what are their dreams. For me, a meaningful life is built on healthy relationships with people you know and are about to meet.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - mostly classical or jazz. I also love Filipino songs and those written with poetic lines.
Books - For fiction, I love mystical ones like those written by Coelho, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and Saint-Exupery. For non-fiction, I love those 'self improvement' or society-related books like those written by Kahnemann, Duhigg, and Acemoglu.
Movies - I like science fiction films from Marvel such as 'Wonderwoman', animated films like 'How to Train Your Dragon', and those related to society like 'La Vita e Bella'.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach cooking, another language, research, writing, and business and management stuff.
My love for learning is skies the limit so just tell me what you want to share.
I can share stories, my love for food, a good massage, a good song or something from UK like tea and cookies.=P
What I Can Share with Hosts
Great stories and intellectual discussions about almost anything.
I can cook and do some massage. I can pair that with singing if it's your birthday.:)
I can bring something from where I am from (currently in northeast UK). Just let me know!
