About Me
I'm a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. I recently retired after 25 years of service as a dentist in the United States Public Health Service. I'm presently living in Clifton, Arizona. As a member of the Experiment In International Living, I spent 3 months as a college exchange student in Sri Lanka. In keeping the friendships, I have returned to Sri Lanka many times.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled the jungle rivers of Suriname providing dental care to the various villages as a member of the Dutch Medical Mission out of Paramaribo. This was a place of poisonous snakes, vampire bats, and piranha. The villagers we met and treated along the way were very kind.
Teach, Learn, Share
I organized dental mission to Suriname and Sri Lanka. I explained to our dental team members that each of us has a "beggar's bowel" that needs to have something placed in it. In this way both the dentists and the patients were in a position to give thanks. A few dentist mentioned golf and it was provided so as to keep each of us humble.
