I met a bunch of Couchsurfers awhile back on a trip to Malaysia. I'm not sure why it took me so long to create an account, but better late than never, I reckon. after 20+ years in Los Angeles, I've got a sense of what I think is cool, and am happy to share

I noticed my friends often say to me, (after a night of imbibing), "I'm sooo hungover...I NEVER drink like that anymore"

that and, "why do you paint your toenails?"

I was inspired by all the cool Couchsurfers I met in July 2012. that's why I'm here now

so far so great. made some very cool friends, had some very special moments

1. corny, but the 1st time I saw the Grand Canyon was a bit of a religious moment for me.

2. holding hands w/ a Buddhist monk in Vietnam walking through the woods & taking in a whitestone 70 foot reclining Buddha

3. the Red Sox winning the 2004 World Series

4. my Pops & I did the "Son & Dad" Alaska trip, & it did not disappoint
