We are Jenny and Henrik from a really little village in the northern Germany (it´s about one hour in the north of Hamburg). We are 33 and 35 years old.

We love to travel around and see the world. Jenny already traveled a bit. After she finished school, she went to Australia with the work and travel visa. Since that, she is addicted to travel. Jenny worked 3 years in a bank after she came back from Australia. After the 3 years in the bank, she started to travel again. She went to Indonesia for a social year and spent around 1,5 years in Ireland as an au pair. After Ireland jenny started jobs to save money for the big trip. Now, Jenny installs, takes care and repairs green roofs in the northern part of germany.
Henrik started working in a bank right after school. He worked there for 9 years, til the end of 2015. Henrik wanted to go abroad after school, but the opportunity to work in the bank seemed to be better at this time. So henrik tried to spent his holidays abroad to see something new, eventhough it was just for a few days. Since we are a couple he used to visit jenny in ireland quite alot. Now, Henrik works one day a week as a carpenter and the rest of the week on a farm.

We have travelled for two years around the world and came back home in the end of december 2017 and are really looking forward to have couchsurfers stay with us.

We have two boys, age 3 and 4 years. So Surfers have to be fine with kids beeing around. We can´t wait to show our boys the world and be Surfers again.

We are open minded and love to meet new people and learn from them. Other cultures and habits are so interesting for us.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The reason why we're here on couchsurfing is that we love to meet people. Every single one has an awesome story and we are always keen to get to know more about you. People make our life interesting. That´s why we also love to host people here. We met awesome people during our trip and now we wanna give a bit back.
Our place is actually not really attractive for travellers, because the cities aren´t that close. But we would always manage to show people around.

Interests

Like we already said, our biggest interest is traveling. But we also like a bit sport - swimming is our favorite. Henrik also likes to play basketball. Jenny likes to watch football, but not to play it (She's such a bad player :D). We learn surfing and trying to get better. Henrik is a great photographer and likes to take photos. family and friends are really important for us. So we try to spent as much time with them as we can.

Music, Movies, and Books

Jennys favorite singer is P!nk. She's listening to her since she's a little child. In general we like rock music. There are some great german rock bands we really like. We don´t have a favorite movie or book. We like nearly every kind of movie and jenny also likes books, if they are good ;) If we have the chance, we watch the movies in english and jenny reads books in english aswell.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We travelled for two years around the world!
Jenny walked on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in Australia.
We both did a roadtrip to the netherlands in 2014 and had such an awesome time. Henrik had his first skydive in key west, florida.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We could share experiences . We would also teach them the german language if they want to learn it. We are really spontaneous and like to talk to people about their countries and cultures, music, ... just everything.
