ABOUT ME

I am an elementary school teacher. I have taught in Canada, Korea, and will be teaching in China in September.

I love travelling and playing music. I have played guitar for 10 years and have recorded an album while living in Korea.

I move around a lot so its hard for me to host but if the timing is right it just may work!

Living in Canmore for the next 2.5 months for a summer job working the outdoors so if your in the area and need a couch hit me up!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Because I move so much I havent had much opportunity to host or be hosted. However I usually try to meet people to hang out with through couch surfing. I made a good friend in Australia through this method and have a few friends from South Korea via couch surfing. Its a great way to get a lay of the land before you arrive and network with locals who are passionate about their homes!

***I am able to host from now until mid August. You MUST give me more than one days notice for a host so I can ensure my schedule can work and I can prepare nice things for you. Please note that its hard for people to host with no notice.

Interests

Education; learning myself and teaching! I love teaching kids they are amazing! I also enjoy music - listening, producing, performing, etc - and when I have stability in my schedule I enjoy jogging too :)

Currently trying to learn how to sing but it is a lot harder than I thought and now I wish i started when I was younger :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing to the summit of Trolltunga near Odda, Norway. Most amazing experience and the view was something I cannot explain. You need to venture to Norway and climb to Trolltunga!

Saw the Northern Lights up close and insanely detailed in the Finnish lapland. Most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

TEACHING IS AMAZING

The World Electronic Music Festival in Canada. It was my first electronic festival and the energy there was completely amazing. Never met so many good people in a weekend before!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a teacher so I can show you a thing or two :P

I also can show you how to play some chords on guitar and I have a few with me so we can jam!

I am not a local in Canmore so we can explore together!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a relaxed accommodation with a nice pull-out couch bed and since I am not a local I can share the same eagerness to go exploring as the people I am hosting!
