About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To catch a moving fly with chopsticks... with my eyes closed

ABOUT ME

Love life, enjoy food, cherish friends, search for new experiences!

I have been living away from New Zealand for the past 10 years. It wasnt what I planned, but once I started I couldnt stop! I have visited almost 60 countries on 6 continents, but still heaps I want to visit. India is a big one I havent done yet. And the middle east sounds interesting.

I love sports and outdoors. I always look for any chance I can get to run in the sun or splash in the water or slide in the snow. Camping is great and living off the land. Sometimes I think it would be so satisfying to be completely self sufficient. But in reality, I like movies, good food, chocolate, wine, cheese, music, the occasional shopping spree too much to even consider such a life.

PHILOSOPHY

Every cloud has a silver lining
Do unto others as....etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A little bit of give and take.
I am a clean, considerate, friendly and respectful person/traveller. On the other side I expect the guest to be something similar. That said, I am very easy-going and open to new adventures - I would love to share any new experiences with anyone who has a good idea!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Slept on plenty of couches (and floors and garages and...), but officially "couch surfed" only once, in Helsinki. A wonderful experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Pulp Fiction

Pillars of the Earth

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled - from rafting the mighty Zambesi in Zambia to snow boarding in Hokkaido, Japan. Body surfing at Jefferys bay, South africa to eating snake in the Mekong Delta. Drinking cocktails in the Greek Islands to Natural hot springs in Guatamala...

Teach, Learn, Share

I offer positive vibes. Plenty of travel experience. Some cooking tips. A good drinking buddy. A good sports opponent (any activity ok). Introductions to other good people.

I want to learn anything I dont know!
