I love soccer. I love eating and trying new foods. And I love exploring.

I love learning too. I believe the longer you can live like a student the better off you will be. I want to continue to learn my entire life and that is why I love talking to and meeting new people. I find by constantly listening to new philosophy my world opens up wider and wider.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I heard of couchsurfing I instantly loved it and thought it was the perfect way for me to travel cheaply, but more importantly, authentically. I'm originally from the United States but am currently working in a hostel in the Netherlands. For the next few years I want to travel abroad so I can travel and see/learn as much as possible. Staying with someone that lives and breaths a culture different from my own allows me to experience the "real thing." That's the experience I want.

I plan to become a History teacher when I return to the United States in a few years. I believe that through my experiences on couchsurfing, hearing real peoples stories/perspectives on things will better enable me to develop an authentic idea of each place I visit. I think this is incredibly important to my career as I hope to one day share what I have learned in my travels with my students in the United States whom may never get the chance.

I' m a classic rock guy at heart, but I enjoy most music as long as its actually music. My favorite band is dispatch. Favorite move is Batman Dark Night. Favorite book is.... Reddit.
